PUBLIC PROCUREMENT

OVERVIEW

Contracting with the government is unlike contracting in the private sector. Processes for getting government contracts, keeping government contracts, getting paid for goods and services provided, adequately performing under the contract term, qualifying for and maintaining preferred status or contracting preferences, and bringing and resolving disputes are subject to their own set of requirements and legal principles based in statute, regulation, and case law. For businesses wanting to do business with state and local governments, and those already doing so, legal representation can be a benefit in your dealings with government contracts and, at times, a necessity. Our attorneys have a long history and experience with State and local public procurement law in Missouri, counseling clients, drafting public contract terms and specifications, and litigating disputes across wide spectrum of issues applicable to public procurement.

The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. Past results afford no guarantee of future results. Every case is different and must be judged on its own merits.
