Marc Ellinger secured a win for the Secretary of State in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. Ellinger represented Ashcroft in Fitzpatrick v. Ashcroft, a dispute arising over the ballot language for a measure passed by the General Assembly that would amend the Missouri Constitution regarding the investment of state funds. The Treasurer challenged the ballot title and fair ballot language prepared by the Secretary. The Court of Appeals affirmed the judgment of Cole County Circuit Court, finding that the ballot title was not unfair or insufficient. Comments are closed.
