Stephanie Bell was elected to serve a three-year term as Missouri Chapter chair for the Republican National Lawyers Association. The Missouri Chapter meets annually in conjunction with the Missouri State Lincoln Days event. Stephanie has been a member of the RNLA for ten years, and most recently helped organize the inaugural Missouri Women's RNLA event. The Republican National Lawyers Association serves as the National Bar Association for Republican Lawyers and is the only national association of Republican lawyers. The panel discussed how the growth of sports betting in the United States as eSports is taking off and how new technologies are altering the traditional gaming marketplace. Panelists include Marie Jones, Fox Rothschild LLP, Ian Hughs, VP of Global Services, Gaming Laboratories International (USA), Gayle Cameron, Commissioner Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Marc has actively engaged in the representation of gaming clients for more than 20 years. Rynard Attends 2019 American Health Lawyers Association Health Care Arbitration Training Program5/28/2019
Tom Rynard attended the American Health Lawyers Association’s two-day Health Care Arbitration Training program in Baltimore, Maryland in March, 2019. The program combined training on all stages and issues of arbitration proceedings with an emphasis on the health care setting through lecture by recognized practitioners in health care alternative dispute resolution, case studies and practical exercises. The substance of the program included Arbitrator Authority and Responsibilities, Legal Ethics and Disclosures, Discovery in Arbitration, Pre-hearing Proceedings, Hearings, and Awards. The program was primarily designed for arbitrators, but also provided practical information for those representing parties involved in the arbitration process. The AHLA is the leading national organization of health care law attorneys in the United States. In addition to providing information and education to member health care attorneys through seminars, conferences and papers, the AHLA offers its own Dispute Resolution Service for parties seeking to mediate or arbitrate their health care-related disputes. Rynard is a member of the AHLA, on its exclusive roster of mediators, and on its list of arbitrators. He is qualified under Missouri Rules as an arbitrator and mediator, and is on the panel of neutrals for United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri and the Missouri Bar (selected circuits); by agreement of the parties; and is available to represent or consult with parties on arbitration and mediations.
